Friends of Dingwall Primary School

Welcome to our Web Site! Dingwall Primary Parents Association is now known as Friends of Dingwall Primary School. We are the fundraising arm of the Parent Council, with the business arm being known as Dingwall Primary Parent Council. We are responsible for fundraising and social events to support the school. We have lots of plans in the coming year for new fun events for children and parents. Please follow the links to the right and above for more info about what we do and what we are planning for 2008.


	Meetings Our meetings are held monthly - usually the first Wednesday of the month. Our next Meeting is on Wednesday 6th February, 2008 at 7.30pm in the staff room at Dingwall Primary School. Details of previous meetings can be found here

		New Members New members are always welcome. Please come along to our next meeting.


	Publications The Scottish Parent Teacher Council (SPTC) is the national organization for Parents’ groups in Scotland. They produce many interesting and informative leaflets and publications. A selection of them are available to view or download from this web site. Follow the link below to access them.


	Parent Councils and Forum What are these? A Parent Council is the statutory body responsible for representing parents' views. Parent Councils replace the system of School Boards. Parent Forum - All parents who have a child attending a school are automatically members of the Parent Forum for that school. The Parent Forum elect the Parent Council

Friends of Dingwall Primary School is a registered charity whose objectives are:

to raise funding for facilities and equipment to benefit the school which wouldn’t otherwise be funded
to give all of our children a happy and positive school experience

The Association is run by an elected committee of volunteers who meet regularly to plan and organise fundraising and social events
